Extra extra
Still 1-1 at the Emirates and as it stands, we’re heading to extra time.
That would mean the 4th round draw is delayed by at least 30 minutes – and could be longer if we go to penalties.
Still time for a late winner as we go into stoppage time, where 10-men United are sitting deeper and deeper.
Worth a replay
Fans have slammed a “cruel” FA Cup rule change that saw non-league Tamworth denied a money-spinning replay at Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglou’s Premier League giants were taken to extra time by their hosts after the initial 90 minutes ended in a 0-0 draw.
Old FA Cup rules meant a draw between the sides would have resulted in a replay.
Had those still applied today, it would have seen Tamworth travel to Spurs’ £1billion stadium – which holds 62,850 compared to their Lamb Ground at 4,000.
FA Cup replays were scrapped only in April last year following a scheduling agreement with the Premier League.
Seeing red
It’s absolute carnage at the Emirates.
Harry Maguire is adjudged to have felled Kai Havertz in the box.
Penalty – but not before a mass brawl breaks out, resulting in several players hitting the deck.
No more red cards, but the red mist has descended.
To top it all off, Odegaard’s penalty is then saved by United’s No.2 Altay Bayindir. Drama.
Red alert
A potentially game-changing moment at the Emirates.
Diogo Dalot has been sent off for a second yellow card after lunging in at Kai Havertz.
Just moments later, Gabriel rises highest to level things up.
Remember, if the game goes to extra time, the 4th round draw will be delayed.
- Arsenal 1-1 Man Utd
- Crystal Palace 1-0 Stockport
- Ipswich 3-0 Bristol Rovers
- Newcastle 3-1 Bromley
Red Devils on top
A big goal at the Emirates – and it’s completely against the run of play.
Man Utd have been under the cosh but showcase some brilliant speed on the counter to break the deadlock.
Alejandro Garnacho galloped away on the right before feeding Bruno Fernandes, who smashed a first-time shot into the top corner.
Should Ruben Amorim’s men hold on, they’ll be ball No.2 in the draw that immediately follows this game.
