In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Elevations Credit Union gave two generous donations totaling $10,000 to help two local food drives reach their goals of helping ensure warm meals this holiday season.
The first donation consisted of $5,000 and eight turkeys to the Food Bank for Larimer County’s Tour de Turkey. The second donation of $5,000, equivalent to approximately 350 turkeys, was made to Community Food Share’s Turkey Time Drive to help them reach their overall goal of raising $46,000.
“At Elevations Credit Union, we believe in the power of giving back to the community. Supporting local food drives during the holiday season is one of the many ways we can make a positive impact and help those in need,” said Wendy Beswick, chief marketing officer at Elevations Credit Union.
“Thanks to the generosity of Elevations Credit Union, we can provide essential meals to families who might otherwise go without during the holidays. Their support is a vital part of our mission to fight hunger in our community,” said Kim Silva, CEO of Community Food Share.
Elevations Credit Union remains committed to community outreach and support, especially during the holiday season. By supporting local food banks and supporting their crucial work, the credit union continues to uphold its values of community and service.
“We’re very thankful for Elevations’ contribution,” said Amy Pezznai, CEO at Food Bank for Larimer County. “Every dollar brings us closer to a more inclusive and supportive community where no one needs to worry about putting food on the table during the holidays.” For more information or to learn how you can support the Food Bank for Larimer County and Community Food Share, please visit and https://communityfoodshare.org/.
