Breeze Airways will land in the nation’s capital later this month when it launches flights to Upstate New York just in time for autumn.
The budget airline will begin daily flights between Washington Dulles International Airport and Ogdensburg, N.Y. — also a new destination for Breeze — on the Canadian border on Sept. 27. It will follow that with a thrice-weekly nonstop to Provo, Utah, about an hour north of Salt Lake City, on Oct. 1. And a month later, Breeze will connect Dulles to South Bend, Ind., on Nov. 8, and Vero Beach, Fla., on Nov. 21.
“As we connect more unserved city pairs, Breeze is expanding its premium leisure low cost product to more communities,” said David Neeleman, Breeze founder and CEO, in a statement.
“These new routes to Dulles will be a huge boost not only for our network, but for Ogdensburg, Provo, South Bend, and Vero Beach.”
Ogdensburg, located on the St. Lawrence River, is also only an hour drive south of the Canadian capital, Ottawa. That gives travelers a new option to see the Rideau Canal or the city’s many other attractions.
Airfares between Washington and Ogdensburg begin at $45 one way. Tickets to Provo start at $99, South Bend at $49, and Vero Beach at $69.
No other airlines serve any of Breeze’s new routes from Washington, according to Cirium Diio schedules.
