Android users, finally! The 2025 Proton X70 facelift is now available with Android Auto. Coupled with Apple CarPlay that was rolled out late last year for the refreshed SUV, AACP is now complete, and the X70 facelift is the first Proton to have the phone mirroring functions – no more ugly phone holders!
Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay can be connected wirelessly (you can also connect with a wire, of course) and now Android smartphone users can ‘see their phone’ on the X70 facelift’s new and enlarged 12.3-inch touchscreen. With this, Maps, other Google apps, Spotify and more can be displayed on the car’s nice big screen. To get back to the IHU, click on the Proton logo.
After much work, the X70 facelift’s infotainment system was designed for AACP, but the features weren’t available at launch (August 2024, read our launch report) as there was certification work to complete.
With AACP integration and certification now complete, we can expect it to feature in upcoming Proton models from launch.
