Vancouver’s popular Bloedel Conservatory is set to reopen on Jan. 4, 2025.

The conservatory, located at the peak of Queen Elizabeth Park, had been closed since late October 2024 to allow for an “extensive” pathway reconstruction project.

The project saw the old pathways demolished and replaced with a wider, smoother flagstone pathway. Sections of the pathway have also been raised and levelled to create a gradual, accessible grade for visitors using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

The timing of the reopening allows families to visit just days before returning to school on Jan. 6.

“With exotic plants, chatty birds, and newly enhanced pathways, Bloedel Conservatory promises a fun and affordable indoor activity for visitors of all ages,” reads a news release announcing the reopening.

The Bloedel Conservatory will open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Jan. 4. Tickets are available for purchase in advance at bloedelconservatory.ca.

Location: 4600 Cambie St. inside Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver
Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. though seasonal hours are in effect throughout the year
Admission: Adults are $9; seniors and youth (13 to 18 years) are $6.30; children (5 to 12 years) are $4.50.
